Mallika Vora (b. 1990) is an Indian-American documentary photographer based in Mexico City, originally from the greater New York metro area. She has been in Mexico for the last six years and is fluent in Spanish.

She believes in a visual journalistic practice rooted in a deep commitment to human dignity. Her work focuses on community and family dynamics as a way to understand larger topics such as gentrification, resistance, cross-cultural exchange, and healing after crisis.

Vora is a member of Diversify PhotoWomen Photograph and has taught digital editing and ethics at the International Center of Photography's Documentary Photography and Photojournalism Program. She holds a BFA in Photography and Imaging from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.

She was shortlisted for Authority Collective’s Lit List 2020, and has been a finalist for the International Women’s Media Foundation Adelante Reporting Fellowship. The Photo Ethics Centre interviewed her about photojournalistic ethics on their podcast. Her photos have been exhibited at Centro Cultural Los Pinos, Cúmulo Gallery, Los14x Gallery, Nathan Cummings Foundation, the Pingyao International Photography Festival and Aperture Gallery.
